Sept. 16: Y.O.U. is awarded United Way Grant

The United Way of Metropolitan Chicago recently announced that Y.O.U. will be a partner in its goal to help 50,000 students graduate from high school by 2020. Y.O.U. will receive $240,000 per year from the United Way for the next two years to implement its Partnership for Middle School Success. This unites schools, parents, social service agencies, and community-based organizations behind a shared vision in which youth are empowered with the skills and self-confidence to succeed in school and to participate fully in the community.
